Walking our dog "Frank" around the local Victorian Conservation Area here in Hull, I was amazed at the number of so called "builders" who had quite literally chucked all their unwanted "crap" in the front garden rather than getting a skip or removing immediately in a van. Some gardens had their surfaces completely covered in builder's debris some of them piled high too!
Granted, parking is terrible in the area and I personally think that Skips are an absolute "rip off", however, there really is no excuse to do this and it really makes me think "what a idiot, they've only got to pick up all this stuff any way and then clean up all the "flakes" of paint and plaster particles etc. that have fallen on the soil surface/paths.
Maybe they don't care about the front garden/kerb appeal etc.!
By the way, these aren't student bedsits were talking about here but sought after family houses.
What do you think? Does it "narc" you as much as it does me?

Front gardens are generally neglected; if it isn't discarded household items, building materials then it's 2 cars, 2 wheelie bins, 4 recycling boxes and any recycling overflow. It's quite sad as makes street look neglected! When l see a front garden that has had even the smallest thought put into it l smile!
Remember Sarah Beeney's street improvement program where 10 neighbours coordinated as scheme in their front gardens (and houses) and property prices went up.
Good housekeeping goes along way to showing the quality of the finished job and the pride a tradesperson takes in there work
Dont forget to drop your card through the door any garden that was under this crap will be killed off, if they are having a house make over instead of moving like alot of people are a new garden might just be the next job on the list.
Do you still have the white phone box's in Hull?
