Following up on quotes

I've been fortunate enough to be getting lots of quotes to do recently but I'm not sure if I'm making the most out of them. Just hoping for some advice on how to approach the quoting side of things.

I am getting pretty good at pricing and have good rapport with customers when I meet them but I'm not sure if my follow up is what I should be doing.

I normally just send a detailed quote with covering email with a bit more info and then sign off along the lines of.. 'Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to go ahead with the work.'

Should I be more presumptuous? Do I need to outline why they should use me above someone else. Do I need standard paragraphs on my service and what I offer?

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm spending so much time and effort quoting I don't want to waste it with poor follow up.

Thanks,

Dave
