About the Landscape Juice Network

Founded in 2008. The Landscape Juice Network (LJN) is the largest and fastest growing professional landscaping and horticultural association in the United Kingdom.

LJN's professional business forum is unrivalled and open to anyone within within the UK landscape industry

LJN's Business Objectives Group (BOG) is for any Pro serious about building their business.

For the researching visitor there's a wealth of landscaping ideas, garden design ideas, lawn advice tips and advice about garden maintenance.

Hoping you can help! Do you know anyone that meets the following criteria?

I'm looking for an experienced freelance garden designer who specialises in contemporary gardens to sub-contract work to for www.origingardendesign.co.uk

Please no newly qualified designers apply - as much as I love your enthusiasm, it's experience I'm after. I'm looking to step back and concentrate on teaching so I need someone with at least 6-8yrs experience. It's fine if you have your own practice as long as you are able to take on the work and we get to quote for the building of it.

We have an excellent team of construction specialists and work constantly comes in via our website - so the business is there, just need someone who can take over my workload. This time of year there's enough calls for 1 garden a week but normally there'd be 1-2 jobs per month.

If you know anyone that fits the bill please can you ask them to contact me at rachel@origingardendesign.co.uk

Many thanks

Rachel

  • Hi Rachel,

The SGD website now has an Employment Opportunities page for those looking for work and those advertising work. Free to advertise if you're a member or £25 if you're not.

  • Hi Rachel,

I am based in Norfolk, and run my own small design and build (but Norfolk is a bit limited!)

I have been working for 15 years plus, initially just design, but in the last few years build as well. My plans are hand drawn.

Let me know if you would like more information,

    Kind regards Jackie

  • Hi Jenny - we do a fair bit of work around the Colchester area and also everywhere in between - if you are still interested please can you email some pictures of your favourite gardens you've designed. The pics were too small on your website to get a good feel of your work.

Thanks for info Ben - that's a really good idea.

Hi Jackie, great site, lovely work. How far are you willing to travel? My last designer was 2-3hrs away from the jobs and it just didn't work out well for her because she'd lose the best part of a day doing site visits. It wasn't worth her while when she could get work closer to home.
