    I use easy joint quite a lot over many jobs and never had any issue of it staying soft, was the tub in date?

      It can take up to four weeks for it to fully harden , I used it on my back patio and it took longer to set on the deeper joints but now fully hardened .

    A fewyears ago we had one but that was with cheaper "brush in dry & leave" but since then we use the "wet on and wet off" type (easy joint/ joint it simple/ marshalls)  had no issues (well that we've been informed of) and I rate them.
