  • As with any machinery for Pro use, make sure there is a dealer locally that will work on it & supply spares or your £700 investment will be useless (if your lucks anything like mine!) when it comes to earning money with it..... on the plus side its got a Briggs engine and not an oriental one!  The best one I've used, which we were selling until recently was the Robin (Subaru) R-BSVT35 which stood up to professional use at a fraction of the price but a current change in UK importers has caused issues in supply.  The Robin engines are amazing!  And for an extra £20 or so, if you want to go for the Dori, its available from www.justlawnmowers.co.uk with a 6.0hp Robin engine rather than the 5.5 Briggs from mowwithus
  • i paid  about £350 odd   as  new.  look on ebay ............    5.5  b&s engine     with box u never use...
  • Hi Chris

I have smaller Dori sc38bs, well built and sturdy.

They do not seem to have a dealer network and when I needed to replace some  blades last year   I obtained spares from distributor and fitted them myself.

    Distributor helpful and efficient.

If you are mechanically minded and don't mind getting hands dirty good machine. But I suppose it depends on how much work it will be doing because if you have a problem you then lose time sourcing parts and then fitting them.

  • The availability of spare parts is a major concern, im quite good at replacing the drive belts, blades, etc. but if there were any serious problems i would find it very difficult getting it repaired as there are very few places near me that sell or service scarifiers. The only one that i know of sells Eliet/John Deere machines which are just too expensive.
