I have a new client with a large country garden which was once beautifully planted by the previous owner but has now got rather out of hand. Most of the perennials have been smothered by weeds and overgrown shrubs. After clearing and soil preparation a large number of new plants will be going in.Does anyone know a good value source of bulk, mature plants in the midlands, worcestershire area?Examples include the planting of 20 metres of aubritia, 3 mixed herbaceous/shrub borders up to 15 metres long. So many hundreds of plants are required. The client wants it looking great asap, so growing on plug plants is not really an option. I'm trying to get the plants at the right price, whilst making some profit on them too.Any help will be greatly appreciated.Nathan

  • Nathan,
Your nearest wholesale plant nursery. Whereabouts in the country are you? I'm sure whoever's closest can advise.

    Hi Dave,

    I'm in Bewdley, Worcestershire.

I get a lot of plants from Avonbank, the wholesaler at Pershore College. they are cheap for shrubs, trees and bedding, but expensive for perennials. Just wondered if there was a bulk perennial supplier in the area.
  • If you have a plant list I can offer you some costings....
  • i can maybe help if you email me a list and what litre pots or height.

  • Nathan,
Give Gordon at Manor farm Nurseries a call. Here's his website URL http://www.manorfarmnurseries.com/ it's a purely wholesale nursery so you won't get the site with a general search on Google. I do all my planting plans from his list. His stock is generally good and he's always really helpful no matter what size order you're looking at. If nothing else his catalogue should give you an indication of what you should be paying.
    All best,
    Dave
