Hi Mitchel,
Most use a form of Iron Sulphate to tackle moss in a lawn. It can be sprayed as liquid solution or applied in a granular form. With a high enough application the moss will weaken. Scarification before the application is a good idea. This will lift the majority of moss from the lawn so the applied iron is more effective on what's left.
Moss will grow back if the conditions are right so treatment could become an annual activity unless the root cause is treated.
