Any Motorcyclists on LJN?

Leaving the day job behind, anyone out there get their kicks out on powered two wheels ? Just had a couple of hours, out early, on quiet roads making it to a favourite stopping point for bacon butties and a cup of tea on the south coast. Back home now, confronted by the realities of normal life again ! Wonder how many more days we'll get like this ?

  • I love motorbikes...... been riding them for nearly 40 years and despite some near misses, have survived! Also do alot of cycling.... used to do cycle racing, time trials, many years ago. I've a couple of bikes, a Honda Deauville 650 for general pottering around and a BMW k1200s for the fast stuff and when I'm certain there's no police or speed cameras in the vicinity lol....... preferable to a car anyday... except when the grounds covered in snow and ice.
  • I have a bike, its a Triumph Speed Triple 1050 with all the right bits on it, (carbon fibre Etc)
I've also just fitted a quickshifter to it, for clutchless full throttle gear changes, its mental . love it.

Me, I'm a boxer fan. Had several including an R1100S (great ride, but pillion stuck up in the air like on a 916).

Got rid of an old VFR400 NC30 earlier this year and now just have an R1150RT which is great, although the dealer keeps trying to temp me with one of the new R120RTs.

Been down to Portugal, Spain & France (probably passed Phil's place a few times) in recent years and also enjoy the 24Hr Moto Endurance Series (Le Mans, Bold D'r, Spa etc).

Just watching bikes race for 24hrs, enjoying a drink while camping at the circuit with dodgy sausages from food stalls and rock concerts on the Saturday night is great fun...
