I'm sure that sounds fine Benjamin.
It might be a good idea, if possible, to be more specific than "as soon as we can". I know if I hear that on an answerphone, my heart sinks as it's so open-ended. Perhaps you could say "by the end of the afternoon" or ask people to leave the date and say you'll ring back within 24 hours?
the only problem with giving clients a specific time is, lets say your phone line is down and you cant ring out or the phone signal is poor i know its petty but it does happen and you could end up losing that customer completely, i have delivered call back leaflets and due to my vehicle breaking down i could get to that area, it does how give a bit more confidence that i would get back to them quickly, but again could lead to issues ?
24 hours is a bit of a tight deadline to ring back - how about 2 or 3 working days?
2-3 working days. That might work, though as a punter, unless I'd been recommended to you, I'd probably have moved on by then. Do you get so many phone calls that you can't mop them up each evening? It would look keen and interested if you could and, I suspect, give you an advantage over competitors. Can't think your phone is down that often - and I'd have thought you'l lose more people by not getting back to them promptly, than by having phone trouble occasionally.
so what wording would be better than "as soon as possible" ? without giving a set deadline to respond back ?
i think the wording is OK as that is what is on my phone and i nearly always ring back in the evening when i get in and arrange to go look at the job on a evening or first thing if its more convenient for them. if there answer phone comes on leave a message at least they know you have rung back. I do not put it on divert to my mobile as most of the time i do not hear it ringing if i have machinery running and i don't have my diary in my hand to book them in (or a pen)
Same here

Unless the client thinks you are special, or have an outstanding website / reputation, not answering the phone straight away just means they will phone someone else.
Why not just divert your landline number to your mobile ??? You are bound to miss some calls due to noise etc, but will take most and hook the client before someone else does. Simple...!
