Years ago I bought a small doughnut van with all the equipment, sold the mixer, fryers, sink online etc online, shelved the unit out, rigged up with a gas heater and used as an office / drying room for winter months.
turns out to be a very handy tool.
Is that a Polish or Nertherlands number plate?
be safe.
I put a battery powered alarm in the trailer - Doberman perimeter alarm. It is ideal when I am working in the rear of a property as it can be set with a remote keyfob & has a PIR.
I reckon that this setup is the most secure. No one can see what is in there & I am not carrying tools around when I don't need to. A mate copied the idea & he has a huge lump of angle iron that locks in his drive. In a way it is harder to nick than a van & I always lock the trailer hitch when it is connected.
Oh & there is a wooden lid that encloses the toolbox.
I had the trailer for years & never really used it as it was impossible to crawl to get stuff in or out. The Eureka moment was hinging the lid & I have had loads of people asking where I got it.
The reason for posting now is that it offers a cheap alternative for people who can't afford to run a van & a car.
