  • Laying turf in November reduces many of the problems with spring turfing. For one no need to water daily as the dampness of this time of year usually provide enough rainwater to assist the turf in taking. Even if it snows on the day of laying your new lawn, not only will it survive the harsh winter conditions but prosper.

Last December I laid 40m2 grass verge and it snowed 30 minutes after finishing and the snow stayed with us till Feb - no adverse effects.

Normally draw the line when the ground is very cold and frozen and of course check that the turf supplier has any turf available!
