Trade supply - bamboo canes

My first discussion post - so apologies if it's in the wrong area.Where are people sourcing bamboo canes in bulk?My current supplier is erratic at best, and I'm not sure if I want to give them anymore of my hard earned money.I need a couple of bales to be getting on with so not a massive order, but still...RegardsCeri

    Hi Ceri

Would you be able to upload a link to the supplier for future reference?

    Kind regards

  • Hi ceri,
It looks great and sound fun to grow vines. I remembered I was told 10 years ago at university stories how most vines growers in Australia and south America are after israelies irrigation systems- reporting greater results thanks to these. (it saves water as well)

If you need any help sourcing -I'm happy to help.
    good luck
  • Hi Ofer

I'm not sure we are so short of water here in the UK that we need irrigation systems for viticulture. I needed to water initially as they were bone dry putting them in the ground. It's a once only procedure (hopefully).

However, I am generally interested in finding out more about these systems - do you have any further details, websites etc?

  • I wish I'd not mentioned this to be honest.

I'm contemplating another weekend of watering the vines with 4000 litres of water a bowser, some hosepipe, and a tractor :(
  • Sorry,
I did not notice this one,
I am sure that there is a lot of info on the web- I import myself several products from Israel and can always do more. If you need any help I can always contact a technical man that have experience with vines and irrigation.
I know few growers. I think that even in the future you may need sometimes to water vines if you are looking for quality as well.
If there is any thing or information- I will try to help.
try israel vine irrigation on google- lots to read.
