Testimonial Page

One of my clients rang me today to let me know that he has a testimonial to issue to meThey, as are many of my clients happy to type their thoughtsWould any one else think that a testimonial page for clients wishing to do so, can.For some reason most do not wish to register, perhaps some form of "pop in, pop out" page?

  • Good idea!

I ask my customers to place testimonials on Freeindex and Google Local Business Centre but, as you say, they are put off by the fact that they have to register with them.
  • I have a testimonial page which currently has all of two, both from the same person! I have only just started so it's still early days. I would prefer either a hand written testimonial which I can then copy the text and keep the original or an email, again I can copy & paste details (keeping personal details blanked out of course).

A testimonials page is a very good idea.

Your last job is your best advert and your last client is your best recommendation.

I would ask satisfied clients to write a couple of paragraphs about the service you have provided and the quality of service they have received. Let them be honest and don't try and interfere with the process.

A few words from a previous client could be the clincher.

Upload the the text with a couple of photos if possible and it is always an advantage if your client is able to allow a future client to come and visit the job too.
  • Thanks Philip
would it be possible to some how link this attachment to my profile page?

You can do it in a number of ways Kerry.

If you are able to add new pages to your main website then I would suggest that you add a testimonial page there. Just add each new testimonial in a list and send potential clients there.

Alternatively, add a blog post on LJN and ask clients to add a comment to the post after each job. If the client sends you an email then you can edit the original post at any time or add the testimonial as a comment yourself.

    Hope that helps?

    All the best

  • Thank you

    yes this certainly will help
  • Hi Kerry,
I found that it is great also to keep in touch with your customers by asking them to do so-
    1. they know from you that you are happy with their garden
    2. they also will know that they should remember to keep an eye for you if they here about anyone that is looking for work.

As I do not always know customers that place orders on my website I use a system from time to time that send an email and ask them several questions and it comes directly on my website (I must admit even with that I am a bit lazy and not feed the system with new contacts) but the thing I want to say is that you will be impressed what great things people would like to write about you.

In my case I need to improve it about- to have it specific for each product and service on that page.

people always like to hear about you from other people not from yourself- best example in the history is moses that could not speak but was one of the biggest leaders in the history.

    Good luck
