By accident , I bought the proper Australian boots 5 years ago- loves it.
easy to wear, comfi, and worth every penny.
( I had a big refund from one of my supplier back in israel- so he offerd these, as I had no need of irrigation anymore before we moved here)

Hi Richard, it is very difficult to find the right boot for multi-tasking when gardening or landscaping, especially at the right price! The boot you are interested in offer comfort, quality and very good value, have you seen the Buckler Work It (WK002 BS) from http://www.bucklerboots.com/products/productdetail.php?pid=20&c... I have been impressed with this boot and it looks good too! Might be a good option for you as it has a rubber toe guard to protect the front of the boot from scuffing.
For general everyday use i wear Dickies Redland boots, £30 off screwfix, usually get about 4-5 nonths out of them which isnt bad at that price. http://www.screwfix.com/p/dickies-redland-super-safety-boots-black-...
When using a chainsaw i wear Haix boots, a bit more expensive at £145 but should last for years as i dont wear them that often.http://www.brixworkwear.com/uk/brand/haix/chainsaw-boots-forestry-b...
I have to agree, Haix is the way to go if you can afford it as they age very well and should last years, check out the Haix "groundsman" http://www.geowear.co.uk/haix-groundsman-safety-boots.html

Thanks all!!! Looks like I'm not the only person who has yet to find the right boots. I don't want to skimp on boots as my feet are incredibly important to me.
At the moment I'm spending about £160-200 per annum. I tried boots from £25 to about £80 and never got the following.
I want comfort, very important as we sometime work long days (20-24 hours) is not that uncommon and I'll be wearing the boots for probably 16-18 hours that day.
I don't want it to look too obvious that I'm wearing work boots
I want good ankle protection, as well as toe and sole protection
I want them in a dark colour (not bloody yellow, whoever thought that Honey colour was a good colour for working boots? Find em n shoot em), so they don't look trashed after a week.
Am I asking for too much?
What!? you sometimes work for 24 hours a day....dont you sleep?

Hi Richard
Try looking again at the Buckler Boots options, SB/P Steel Toe and Mid-Sole protection - also look at the reviews. The boots will do everything you ask of them, are well priced and do not look too building site, street or sporty! so no pretensions there! You could even have some change for some comfy work socks and some insoles! Best of luck.
