Robin, is it normal to do monthly visits, I dont personally do anything so infrequently, I do a few doctors surgeries on a weekly basis, I used to have more but lost 2 because they were took over by the local PTC, (think it was that) and they visit very infrequenly, I see the Dr from one of these surgeries from time to time and she's going nuts cos they look so untidy, because theres always litter and the grass gets too long in between visits,
Just curious as its not something I've ever done, mainly because I like an easy life with the weekly thing.
I wouldnt know how begin pricing it, also a lot of travel time in my opinion, not sure i'd want to do that.
Just re-read it, think your right maybe read it wrong.
Hi Robin,
Presumably you will be quoting for 20 - 21 visits, 16 summer and 4 - 5 winter visits a year on these sites. If thats the case then you should be looking to quote on the same basis as your existing sites you have for the customer. IF they are similar in size and content to them, then just add on a little to each site to cover for travel time, say £20 - £30 on each site would be more than adequate to cover travel time and fuel costs for the day, if you an get the 4 sites done in the one day that is. In my experience with property management / factoring agents you will have to quote for each site seperatley, they have to bill the residents seprately so a day rate wont be any good to them. I have a customer that I do a total of 7 sites for, I have to do around 135 miles that day, but it earns my business over £900.00, £1800.00 a month (and thats during te winter months also) for the day with a 3 man sqaud and 1 van to do all the sites and we can do all sites and be heading home for 5.00pm
regards
Hi Robin
As a professional outfit with insurance, spray tickets, valuable kit.....don't under sell yourself. I would work on at least £25 per man from base per hour.
You have four sites, if they take two hours each, on average, for two men that would be £100 per visit per site ie £400 plus travel at 1 hour each way for two so £100. You have a total now of £500.
You will carry out 20 visits per year (this is normal i find) 20 x £500 = £10,000 plus vat. I always invoice 12 equal instalments as keeps cash flow consistent all through the year.
Hope this helps
David
thanks , i may be able to do 2 sites eventually in a day with 2 people travelling.
initial visit will be a day with 3 men to cover each site to get it civilised , ( lots & lots litter picking and 8x5 caged ifor trailer to remove ).
they will be on top of once 3 visits done in march end so fortnightly is ok and suits me as i would not have time to do weekly visits.
ive messaged David to see if he will look at my proposal. im working on £30 hr for myself eg £180 a day min for 2hrs travel and 4hrs on maybe 2 sites , ( plus i staff at £10 6hrs cost £60) plus fuels & sprays- £60min.
x2days every fortnight in summer =4days @ £300 = £1200 month / paid within 7 days by cheque.
all sites are to be invoiced individually yes as they will have to share/administered to tennants/owners.

Brian Sorry. - email sent. thabks
one is very small , can be strimmed , but mowed if i have mower in future on other sites.
one big one has 4 patches/squares of grass between paths.
one big site has very little but 3-4 bits in perimeter fences to strim on steep banks . small but awkward
one has none :) . all sites have typical low level shrubs to catch litter in :/ and sapling now 4/5yrsmax
typical new/modern 2/3 yr old flats / blocks / parking .... . ill look for a pic example
