  • Makita all the way, I wouldn't be without my impact driver, along with other tools. Even my radio is Makita. Its all backed up with fantastic customer service.
  • I run Milwalkee 18v and have a grinder / reciprocating saw and a combi drill, and 4 batteries which is enough to keep me going all day ( or rather how many I can charge overnight), I would like an impact driver and have used the new compact Milwalkee SDS 18v to sink some concrete bolts, so it too is on my list,I recently used a Makita drill and also an impact driver (the impact driver was very nice) but I get a very good deal from my local Milwalkee dealer.

  • Makita for me, i still have drills 20 years old working perfectly. I was fortunate enough to go and visit the Makita factory in Milton Keynes and on leaving I understood why they are the brand they are.

The materials they use are not cheap and shoddy throw away in two years but looked quality and they were. We have changed all our Stihl saws to the Makita 4 stroke saw and its the best thing we ever did they run faultlessly we could not say that about Stihl.
  • bosch blue for me. And ryobi for the cheap cordless stuff that is used is the mud.

yup. No one cares if they drop a ryobi in a pond but if someone dropped my £200 makita they would be in trouble!!

Bosch for me, 36v drill lasts forever but does hurt the wrists sometimes.

  • We've got predominately makita but also got some bits from Hitachi and a dealt circular saw, purely because it was on offer at the time.
