Evening. Does anyone have any tips on access, to enable setting of the throttle stop screw and pilot screw of the carburetor on the GCV160 engines? I have a bendy screwdriver bit holder but still can't get in there....?

Thanks for any suggestions...

    hi alasdair

you could try useing a ratchet with screewdriver attachment or even a pz1/2 drill bit and 8mm spanner

  • Thanks Neil

I'll have a look tomorrow and see if that method works.... its possible...

    Cheers

  • For the record Ive worked out that you remove the air filter casing and remove the spacers that the main carb bolts run through. Use these and reassemble the carb in place so you have it all together but without the air filter housing. You can run the machine without the airfilter and adjust both the throttle stop and pilot screw. Once you have the carb running well put back together properly and away you go.
