Non Conventional forms of advertisment

Hello everyone ive often thought of methods to promote brand awareness, as there are so many form of advertisment on the market these days, some we use everday e.g. word of mouth, van and trailor signage, business cards, website ect.... but have we ever considered more non traditional ideas, email advertisments, simple giveaway stationery, fridge magnets, brand clothing, posters ect... I supposes it depends on the size and budget of each company as to how much they advertise, i personally feel in giving your local areas and areas slightly further away taste of your business in any format of advertisment we feel is apropriate.

So my Question, How much of a proportion of your bugdet do respend on marketing, what methods to use, how far a field do you advertise all inkeeping with your bugdet to maximise the effectiveness. ?

Thank you .

I give my customers a poster calendar with a magnet on the back every year, vista print do them

At the start, i found it a good way to go and see them in January and use it as a way to sell them more products and get feedback on the previous years work. I have found that my customers really seem to appreciate and it costs so little...

They work out at around one or two pounds each  (Depending on how many you buy)
