Even consolidation is the key prior to final raking. We then pun the newly laid turf with wooden punners, working off scaffold boards and leave two weeks before first cut.
The problem with rolling now, is that soft areas will get lower and harder areas will stay where they are. I would suggest they get the contractor to sort it. Besides its far too early for a cut.
By the sounds of it, leave it alone or you will get blamed when it sinks and it will sink by the sounds of it.
I wouldn't if i were you.

Hi Mark,
Question back to you, when you first saw the new laid turf did it look as if it had been laid in a tidy and uniformal fashion?
