I think you might be thinking of My Garden School Chris.

Hello - I'm one of the founders of MyGardenSchool (we're the world's first online gardening school). You basically get personal tuition from some of the world's greatest gardening writers and designers (their names should speak for themselves: Noel Kingsbury, John Brookes, David Austin, Stephanie Donaldson and many more). But I don't want to really just advertise our school here (much as we love Philip and Landscape Juice!). I think it would be more beneficial if I just encourage you to try a course for yourself so you can decide (they are all four weeks long). I am happy to give anyone who sees this thread a 25% discount on their first course for being a Landscape Juice reader. Simply type in the code MGS25 when you book. I know some of our students are also on here so hopefully someone will come on and comment honestly about their experiences for you
Hi,
I have done one of the courses that My Garden School offer. I did Andy McIndoe's shrub course last year. It was a good and easy/ convenient way of learning and Andy was great. You get to interact directly with the tutors and Andy has always been helpful with any questions I have had following on from the course. It's well worth a try and they have lots of different courses on offer which are aimed at different standards.
Hope you enjoy it if you decide to go ahead.
Hi There I'm one of the tutors at My Garden School and I'm also Chief Blogger. I think My Garden School is a great way to learn because of the direct contact with the tutors during the course, and with other students. It enables the student to channel the course to their own requirements. On my shrubs course for example I've had Landscape architects, garden designers, garden maintainers and private gardeners. Sometimes students use the assignments to work on a project for one of their clients, sometimes using their own garden. Personally I've really enjoyed having a great variety of students on the courses from the UK, Europe, USA, Australia and one from Shanghai. Through the blog I try to feature a wide variety of topics but with plenty of meaty horticultural content. Do take a look and tell me what you think.
Thanks Mel for your lovely comments - It was a great pleasure having you on the course and its great keeping in touch via twitter. Lets hope we can tempt more students to try out this great way of learning through this thread Andy

I did one of the excellent courses (Grasses with Michael King - http://www.rosewarnegardens.com/can-you-learning-the-art-of-plantin... ) last year. I will say it's like an intensive so you need to be focused because there is so much great info crammed into the course (mine was over 4 weeks) and you want to get the absolute most out of the tutors. The course materials are excellent, downloadable and no scrimping on content. The site/school was easy to use, interactive and any technical queries sorted out very fast.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and their courses and have been doing so to plenty of friends and colleagues.
How much do the courses cost? is it a qualification or just for your own use? I teach city and guilds 1,2 &3 and would be interested in passing info onto my students
Thanks
Graham
Hi Graham. Courses cost from £120 with some with video lectures at £145 and some design courses costing more for a four week course - all are individually priced on the website. This includes weekly lectures, notes, assignments and the virtual classroom experience for the duration of your course. At the moment there isn't a qualification as such but this has been requested by a number of students and we are looking into it. It would be great to have some City and Guilds Students along so we will be in touch Cheers Andy

Hi Elspeth, how long is the code valid for? I'm finishing schooling with a local college this year, and I have plenty of work on at the moment, so would be concerned and think I would not be able to focus fully if I took on another course. So how long would you honour this code until?
