Hi all For those who provide lawn treatments as a service, do you use year round treatments that require no immediate watering in? I do use drought-safe fert in the summer months, but outwith this, majority of products used do require watering in afterwards if no rain fall within a few days, and due to schedules applying ahead of any forecast light rain is not always possible plus usually weather always wrong 9 times out of 10. I always email/text a week ahead of treatments, then a day prior, whilst its four visits a year I wouldn’t expect it to be a deal breaker to water in feeds if there is no rainfall with a few days , but had a few saying they would rather not have the hassle of having to water lawns? Am I wrong in taking the opinion that if you are not prepared to put a sprinkler on your lawn in long periods of no rainfall or at least three times in the year after a visit, then it defeats the purpose as lawns still need water regardless of what goes down. I do realise the larger firms don’t have this as a requirement, and it lays dormant until it rains, but in order to use (IMO) better products all year round, this is the currently required.
