  • you are having a bad day - did you not get that glass of vino?
  • I had onelike that the other day but we are doing garden clearance first. Just hit them with the rough figureslike I did the other day. 2 days labour for 2 people + skip. If you want gravel you need 3 tonnes + plants, sleepers etc, etc.

I walked way thinking no chance and we start on Monday - god knows we need the work - with the weather and all that
  • lol,

i had a quote for a tree (silver birch) theyd had one for £250 inc 2 stumps ground out.

i said £160 if cut to ground level to be able to put shed near.?? bloke then next door said he'd have logs, so i knocked £10 for fuel ,due to not requiring trailer. as £150 min 16mile away for tree work with nptc.

as finished , he said oh , i think she (wife) has another 2 quotes to come !!!!!!!!!!..............arrggh.

    wow !

i quoted one today, woman tried digging out 5 tree stumps herself. she made it down about 4 inches round each, no way of getting a stump grinder in so getting quotes for it to be done.
easily a full day and probably half of another as 2 stumps are aside an already wobbly fence post and more than likely growing under, not wanting to under quote but not wanting to earn less than i need for a day i said 130 if i can get it done in a day but probly go into a second day so another 50-60 quid on top aswell. she then tells me shes had a quote from a bloke who will dig them all out for 70 quid. i said let him do it. i wish she had told me that when she first rang would have saved me a trip out in the cold wet wind

As you know, unless your in this game you will never in your wildest dreams understand just how mentally and physically demanding the duties of a designer / landscaper is, I'm fully aware that my clients have no understanding of this other wise i wouldn't be there in the first place, they'd be doing it themselves.

its difficult to fathom what lies unseen behind the beauty of any finished garden created, this is where my role steps up.

I am more than happy to visit your clients and assist in any with any enquiry they have, I'll listen to all they have to say and assist to produce their garden based around their budget.

So, now longer do you have hear out the remarks or questions as stated , all you need to do do sir is refer them to me

    Every ones happy.
