  • The one we have has a split roller! So luckerly does not scuff the turf, it is also fantastic at cutting wet grass, it fills thw bag so much you have to dig the grass out with your hands!

yep good mowers one of my customers has one in there garage i get it out and use it when its dry. its a rear roller one and the as its a solid roller it tends to scuff when turning in the wet.

its years old and still runs a treat. their neighbour also has one and its even older gets used every week dont think its ever been serviced according to her gardener but it always starts first time, probably down to having a proper jap honda engine not like the newer ones that are made in usa at the briggs and stratton factory

Yes, the something to be said for a simple belt and jockey wheel......... and when it goes wrong, costs peanuts in comparison to fix!

The Honda pisses all over my hayter, Admittedly yes I reckon a gear box problem could arise but until then its all good. I used to love my hayter until I found there were other much better mowers out there.

  • This is the 1st honda i have had. I have also used an izy before that I didnt like! I had a harrier, still have it but i feel this mower collects grass much better, it actualy fills the grass box, I only ever filled the Hayter grass box once and the grass was bone dry and i was cutting about 1-2 cm off. Ot also leaves a better stripe All my oppinion of course Steve.
