Many years ago I strimmed some. Yes it does burn you, you will blister. Also once the blisters go your skin will be temporarily scared, have a dark pigmentation for months but it does go.
I have just treated an area using chemicals. If you do strim them, make sure you cover up. If you do get sap on you, try and wash it off immediately.

do not get the sap in your eyes either as it can apparently cause blindness. where is this hogweed are you sure it is?

i have it all over my inner arms at the moment, looks terrible, was hundreds of little water blisters and now just scabs!
doctor gave me steroid cream and a good talking to about covering up as it's so dangerous especially if it gets into your eyes (can blind you)
