Double sided rail and pale fence panel. Simply run the saw down the panel where needed.

Thanks for this David . A good lead , Not heard of the company before but i see they have a few branches fairly local , I will pay them a visit .
Obviously a panel such as Featherboard is the easiest to reduce the width. Remove the pales and cut the rails – add a little Jakcure cut treatment.
If you want to go down the route of a panel that is good both sides. Hit and miss is reasonably easy but if you would like privacy that is good both sides, then Chilham is a good option.
The following video is a little rough around the edges but will give you an idea of how to cut down a Jacksons Hit & Miss panel that is good on both sides.

Thanks for this Chris , I am collecting as much info as i can before offering the customer a choice ,
At least one panel will have to be cut in half and i want the job to look exacting and for it to blend in as they are prepared to pay for the best job possible and although i am not a professional fence erector doing the job everyday they seem determined to give me the work as pleased with other work i have carried out ,so every little bit of info helps . thanks .
