I think the industry needs to consider moving away from general certification and think toward a progressive learning ladder. Client testimonies and case studies should form part of any progressive qualification.
I'm of the opinion that the testimony of an employee or client is as important to an employees/businesses development, education and future as a certificate and appraisal from a college tutor.
It suits BALI to encourage certification but the majority of landscape and horticulture individuals and businesses have little time or spare money to attend an educational establishment on a regular basis.
