I got the external ones fitted. Cant think of the name, they are a dome shape. Use them religiously after the van got screwed. Any extra security has got to be a good thing. I thought they were more of a visual deterrent and were easy to fit myself
i used them on my last vsan will soon be fitting them on my new van the cheapest i have found and the new ones i will be bying.
heavy duty locks
I fitted some to the Hiace I run after it was broken into...two for the rear door and one for the sliding side door, I fitted them myself and it cost I think about 160 quid

I coupled this with a DiskLok as there is no point stopping them taking your tools when the next move is to nick the van

And finally because no one takes any notice of car alarms I fitted one on these into the rear of the van it chimes an alarm in the house if there is any movement in the back of the van

And also one of these to go off in the back of the van should there be any movement...

I also cable lock all the tools together in the back so they can't just be lifted out should someone try a smash and grab as it were !!!
I limo blacked the rear window and put bars on it and so far... touch wood...the scum bags have targeted easier pickings....
Cheers
