As with all installations, albeit paving, decking, artificial grass etc, there is always a need for excavation and preparation. The fake grass we have had laid was on top of around 75mm consolidated crushed concrete + a consolidated sharp sand screen, then the turf, secured on a pressure treated timber surround.
ill echo that. shes just throwing her money away on the grass if she doesn't have it done properly. ive seen installations done on the cheap just laid on earth. doesn't work. it pumps the mud up through the drainage holes a when its wet and it ruins it.
Thanks Thermo and Colin, those are my views as well.
