If your handbook is the correct handbook for the chainsaw, your file size should be correct, if you're not sure, take it back to your dealer and they should be able to help you. You will know if your file size is correct, as the files should fit tightly inside the teeth.
It may be worth looking on eBay Peter, to find the correct size file or buy a professional sharpening device.
