My name is Isla and I work for Thrive Garden Project, I manage a project that offers trainees the chance to complete  a City & Guilds Level 2 in work based horticulture. We now have trainees who have completed their training and are now looking for part time work to build on and expand their existing skill sets.

All trainees have completed a work placements of 30hrs or more as a minimum within the industry. If you looking for new staff, need an extra pair of hands over peak season or just considering the possibilities of taking someone on please get in touch.

So far we have worked with Alitex, Chelsea Physic Garden, Kew Gardens, Chiswick House, Grosvenor Estates, West 6 Garden Centre Homebase, My Village Window Box, Pinnacle and many more. Thrive trainees have entered into paid work and volunteer roles with the above.

Thrive is a charity that delivers innovative work based training to unemployed Londoners who have experienced mild mental health problems. Working it Out is a work shadowing programme operating in London parks and offers the opportunity to gain the skills needed to secure and hold down a job. Trainees receive 1 to 1 support from Thrive staff to overcome their barriers to employment and work to gain the City & Guilds Level 2 in Work Based Horticulture. All Thrive trainees must successfully complete a 30 hour work experience placement and receive pre-employment advice prior to being considered for onwards referrals to potential employers.
As many of our trainees are now becoming work ready we are now looking for part time employment opportunities and potential work training placements.
For previous employers we have advertised the role with our data base of trainee gardeners. Thrive's employment team then pre-screen and short list the most suitable trainees according to how many candidates the employer would like to see. Interviews are then arranged for successful trainees with the employer.
Thrive then continue to offer in work support to trainees and advice and guidance to employers if desired.

thanks for your time, hope to hear from you
