Adam,
A few things. Firstly, I'm no friend of company XXX, but we have to be realistic about what lawn care companies can achive.
I'd think it's not £15/week, more likely £15 per month given the size.
For a nice lawn several care regimes need to come together.
1. Regular correct mowing.
2. A good treatment programme.
3. Good watering when needed. Not so much an issue so far this year in our area, though may start to be needed over the next few weeks.
4. Treat the lawn we respect - don't dump things on there for proglonged periods creating bare patches.
Looking at that lawn only the treatment programme is being done (won't get into good or bad) and no other so it's no wonder its a mess. Lawn care only goes so far. Owners need to do their bit also.
I agree with Andrew 100%
That lawn has not been mowed often enough. Regular mowing is incredibly important if you want to have a good lawn.
If you want a superb lawn, a good mower with nice sharpened blades will do wonders.
Hmm, interesting replies... maybe it is jealousy creeping in... if I could get all my clients to pay me by direct debit weekly (or even a monthly),it would make life far more predictable.
That said the edges of the lawn don't look to have been maintained for ages... and the dead patches??? I mean we are not talking about a massive expanse here... just a small estate garden - PS the shrub roots had just been dug out, the owner hadn't left them there.
I think the client pays for treatment, NOT cuts. And why would the lawn company do a lawn treatment every month anyway? Maybe there are some details not quite correct here.
