    Why not buy a pair of your usual comfy work trousers and get them tailored into shorts?
    I wear British issue Desert cam trousers, Nice and lightweight and easily cut to shorts.

    cut downs are the way to go. especially if you like getting your legs whipped by bits the strimmer attacks you with. ..oh, and the ticks!

    Personally I'd purchase tailored shorts....just that little bit more professional.
    However if you do cut down old trousers then why not get a friend to make good the cut-off legs?
