Winter Services

With the winter season fast approaching, I'm wondering whether this is the year I invest properly in providing and advertising winter services (gritting, snow clearing). My main questions would be: Is the pay worth the initial investment in the kit and extra wear on the vehicle(s)? Is it worth signing up with one of the nationwide grounds maintenance companies that sub out winter services, and if so, who are the best contacts (South Yorkshire/ North Derbyshire area)? What's a good pricing structure for it? Even if it's vague, any suggestions would be much appreciated. I currently provide the services for a few small office sites where I can do most of it by hand, I'm looking initially to offer it to a large warehouse I provide the grounds maintenance for, as well as a private road on a residential estate, therefore looking at a pickup truck mounted plough and probably a pedestrian spreader.

Thank you in advance for any help!
