"Thanku for your suggestions John
Yes there is a local booklet that gets posted to homes in the area so I will definitely look into that and the estate agents. "

"The Telescopic long reach HLA86 share the same motor, controller and blade as the shorter reach HLA66 I believe, they are ok on this year's fresh shoots but when reaching across the top of a hedge for example where there maybe neglected older growth…"

Billybop replied to Rob's discussion Best professional battery hedge trimmer at present?

"Had several HSA86 over the years I found over time even with maintenance they got a bit rattly and a fresh-out-the-box one would be desirable after a couple of seasons. They have the ability to "punch above their weight" a bit which means often they…"

Graham Taylor replied to Rob's discussion Best professional battery hedge trimmer at present?

"What fails on them so that they need replacing? I've had an HSA86 for years and it just keeps going for years..... maybe I'm just lucky though I do grease the gears etc regularly. "

"I bought the 12V Milwaukee battery shears a few years ago, which are like secateurs/ loppers, somebody on here recommended them, always using them, still prefer normal secateurs for pruning thin stuff but the powered ones are amazing, saving so much…"

"I had Stihl but have moved over to Milwaukee, I have their power tools and now have bought their garden tools which makes it easier with having just Milwaukee chargers. I find their stuff really well made."

Billybop replied to Piers Dixon's discussion Advertising garden maintenance services

"yes i find smaller to medium sized ones better, it also helps if your role is clearly defined as to what tasks the client expects you to do, in a big place there is always more work that has to be left until another time, potentially leading to…"

Glyn Williams replied to Sam's discussion Honda HF2417 - Advice

"Hi Sam
Using your image of the blades, the right hand one appears to be fitted upside down or has the wrong blade fitted. These have a specific left and right handside blade. The curve on the end of the blade is designed to force the cut grass…"

"My work in larger gardens came about once I'd established myself in smaller gardens and my name was passed on. "

Sam Bainbridge replied to Sam's discussion Honda HF2417 - Advice

"I know it would be a big loss but my suggestion would be change it for either an iseki sxg216 or an etesia,.these won't clog up even if your mowing in torrential rain. We all learn from mistakes and the biggest is asking a salesman what to buy in…"
