Cheers Andrew, will look in to...

    • Agree with andy. Tetraploid will germinate from 5 degrres apparently. Plus, I'm happy ti touch up seed to be able to get ahead on rens. So much chafer damage and drought issues this year. Phone not stopped ringing

  • I have carried out some lawn scarifying this week for five of my customers but have not sown any grass seeds yet. Will look at doing that later in March as well as applying a seaweed feed.

  • Hands up anyone else who googled 'sorinf' thinking it was secret gardener trade code...

      lol

  • Scarification and aeration underway, spring treatments a fortnight away.

Some overseeding, full renovations I will hold out a little longer before booking them in. The last week of March is looking viable. Have just placed my first order for top-dressing 5 weeks earlier than last year.

  • any advice on sourcing top dressing?  Looking at a domestic lawn, no young children, suffered a bit with last summer.

Do 'you get what you pay for' or is it worth encouraging the customer to go for Rolawn top dressing approx £190 / bulk bag vs 70:30 bowling green £150 vs  local nursery £120.
