Interestingly, in the USA, zinc chloride or zinc sulphate can be used for mosscontrol on hardsurfaces. http://www.corrys.com/All-Products/moss-b-ware/overview/ ; Unfortunately, not authorised for use here (neither is bleach I'd guess)...... which is a pity as incredibly effective keeping areas clear for as long as MMC-PRO + it works out about a tenth the cost with these chemicals easy to purchase on Ebay .
I'm amazed that people would go looking for and use non-approved products, especially from places like eBay - who knows what you are getting unless from an authorized source...but then they wouldn't be selling unathorised products ...would they ?
Cost is not everything - health, environment etc should be coming up top of selction criteria - especially if you're running a business....
AlgoClear Pro is worth using too, much lower dilution rate to mmc pro, though more expensive. Works out about the same price as MMC, though 4 times as strong.
Agree but as I said, is bleach or sodium hypochlorite authorised for this purpose? Is MMC-PRO no longer listed as a moss controller/killer so is that being used incorrectly? Might have got this wrong though. On a side-note, don't think the USA is too worried about pollution to be honest with all their gas-guzzling vehicles and Donald Trump at the helm:) `
