PRO

Given a Design or Design/Build project that involves "structural" works at what point should a structural engineer become involved to 'approve/underwrite' plans ? Would their reports/advice be passed on and charged to client ?

If not, where does liability lie if an item later fails or is deemed unsafe ? Should the Landscaper perform due diligence or just assume the supplied design/plans are 'safe' to build ?

Are Designers (and Landscapers?) taught about Dead/Live Loads etc or is this the domain of one of the 'Professions' (Landscape Architect/Surveyor) ?

At what level are Designers able to specify structural items on their own & do they carry Professional Indemnity Insurance to cover ?

Should we as Designers/Landscapers be suggesting such designs/works upfront ?
