Well thats "summmer done then"

Whilst out working on the construction of large new lawn for a customer yesterday I heard the annual call of Mother Nature, 2 skein of Geese flying south for the winter. This is the first time Iv'e seen / heard them this early.Do they know something not nice is heading our way ??

    3 nights this week the temperature has dropped to being chilly around the 7pm mark, I think we are in for another harsh winter

    Just read the forecast for next week up here in Jockland .Apparently we will be receiving the tailend of a TWO Carribean storms that will force a week of very high winds and rain.............. great :-(

    OH dear!

    Might need the heater on the mower after all. I wish I'd scheduled for the start of September now...would have been a good time to travel.

    If I were you Phil, I'd be packing the thermals for the latter stages of your mowerthon.

    The leaves on my Sorbus aria 'Lutescens' started dropping a few weeks ago, ive never seen that happen before. Also noticed a few maples turning yellow already.

    Iv'e noticed this too Chris. All the Willows on the public park I maintain have dropped most of their leaves very early this year
