When quoting for commercial work we send 5 pages. (1)A general letter, (2)an introduction and brief history of us, (3) generic spec, site improvemnent policy,insurance details, (4)Site inspection(s) report. (5) detailed quotation.
For private work this is all too heavy, so it's just a detailed quotation.
Hi Robbie,
There are two areas here;
1/ gaining new clients/business
2/ quoting for work
For 1/, we just have a 'commercial brochure' giving an overview of the business, typical bio's, services, safety accreditation etc etc, sent with a covering letter to prospects.
For 2/, Almost identical to Colin about...all goes in to a branded folder and set to client/contract manager
Just a thought, my tree guy sends a series of PDF attachments with everything from terms, recycling info, insurances, TPO forms etc. It's very off-putting, as most aren't relevant.
I've always included things when the job has been agreed, not over-loaded the prospective client with the obvious.
I think that is a best business practice recommendation from the Arb Assocation, our Subbies do similar...
