There are many places to get this training. If you are struggling to find somewhere local let me know and I can point you to a suitable Training Group(s).
Yep sure do.
Check that this from ProGreen

They will also help you get on a training course
That's great, thanks. There are a couple of horticulture colleges near us so I will ask them. Namely Plumpton College and Brinsbury.

I was. Thanks. Don't do much of it so may not bother any more. I only really do it as an 'extra' service, so telling them you need to have a ticket and I don't won't be a huge problem I don't think.
Same with the chainsaw. I use one occasionally, but never for felling and never on 'living' wood. But at £1000 for the ticket I'll put the saw away. It won't earn me any more money.
There is a bursary, so will try and apply for funding as I'm currently on a low income.
Couple of points;
- then definitely approach colleges (rather than commercial trainers) as you may well get some of the fees offset direct or via a Bursary
- Sub it out to someone you trust (pesticides and basic saw work) until it makes sense to invest, or leave the pesticide element it in the hands of the customers and let them use domestic products..
Thanks Gary. Good advice. Plumpton College do one for strimmers too!!
Just bought a knapsack sprayer too! Oh well, put it back on ebay then!
You can offer 'other' services with that knapsack;
- Hard surface moss treatments
- Lawn Ferts & green ups etc (but no weed & feed etc ;-)
What can I treat moss with that is legal to use that isn't legal on weeds?
Thanks for your advice Gary, Appreciated.
