Vodafone - Service issues 28th Feb 2010

If you are on the Vodafone network you have probably gathered they are having some problems today.

 

There is currently a network server issue which is effecting customers all over the UK - I understand it is down to a computer failure in Basingstoke and thus they are unable to determine your sim card etc. and not related to the signal etc..

 

If anyone does try to contact your mobile number it should go to voicemail.

    Like you Graeme, I am of the generation pre-mobile (and computer:( and remember having to use the good old telephone box when chasing deliveries or making important calls during the working day.

     

    One of the worst things was getting home from a long day (especially spring when all of my prospective customers all wanted work done at the same time) and see the light flashing rapidly on the answerphone and then spending the next hour or two calling them all back!

     

    It goes to show how we've all become reliant on mobile communications, doesn't it?
