Van full of spiders?

I'm sure i'm not alone in having a few creepy crawlys in the van as they always make their way in off hedge cuttings and all sorts. My cab is getting a little overrun though and i was wondering if anyone had any good tips to get rid of the suckers. Being 6'5 i have spent my life getting cobwebs in the face that other people walk under.

Put them to the sword with the br600? i'm afraid that might take the stereo out as well.

  • I ignore the spideys, and the snials that come in with wet hedge clippings on the rare occasion a bag of that goes in the van. Still waiting for Mr Frog to put in an appearance.

  • I didn't know spiders liked playin conkers!! only kiddin - do conkers really work?

Get some conkers in your cab- worked for me and not the spiders.

  • They must like the right hand mirrors, as i've got one there on my van, been there for ages! Doesn't have to hold on that tight I only do 50 in my van.

I have quite a lot of wildlife in the van, doesn't bother me really, just waiting for the day when a badger runs across the passenger seat!! lol

  • conkers definitely work, and I must collect some fresh ones now. after a few months when they dry out they are no good. Am going to try and freeze some actually for future use.

  • I have the same problem, but it keeps my daughter from using me as a taxi! :o)

I gave it the once over with the blower, job done.

  • All sounds like great fun with conkers, and this is only an idea, but have you boys ever thought of a hoover ;-)

  • Conkers eh?? Where do you put them?

I've got a big problem with spiders at the mo. They don't really bother me (apart from when they dangle down in front of my face whilst driving!) but my girlfriend has a mini panic attack every 5 minutes when she spots one!!
  • I see your point, much easier to explain why the conker flew trough his windscreen. I shall immediately take your advice and cease vacuuming and collect conkers instead. Thank you, always sound advice from LJN.

Ok on the drive but try explaining using a Dyson on the motorway to the traffic police..emergency suction issue officer..I  had my head on the floor scrabbling around for the "spider" fitting...
