We have just started to use Xero acloud based accounts software whcih seems, mostly, very good so far.
They have an option to add the ability for customers to pay invoices online. I have been looking into this as, although it will cost, it should mean that customers will pay their invoices much quicker, so saving money.
You have to use a payment gateway and set up a merchant account, both f which cost of course.
I am considering using EWay and either Barclaycard or World Pay.
It's great to be able to email invoice directly to customers who can opt to view and and adding a simple button to click in order for them to pay online straight away, seems an excellent idea, as long as it doesn't cost too much.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this kind of thing and any tips and advice?

I've used Xero for LJN subs for quite some time. I use GoCardless. It costs just 1% with a maximum fee of £4.00 regardless of the upper value.
I can embed payment links directly within an invoice or create unique payment links for any application.
I use stripe as it's integrated through getjobber, people love it and yes you get invoices paid faster though you still have to wait for the money to clear - stripe takes 7 days!

I just put my bank details on the bottom of my Jobber generated invoice. Doesn't cost anything for them to go online and pay us. Or am I missing something?
i think he's hoping to push people to pay faster rather than people saying oh well i haven't got my card reader or didnt have time to log on to my onlining banking which i get alot
