  I've got the Wolf pruner with the tilting head loper and saw and I'm very pleased with it. Works well and its quality gear. Although trying to use the loper on thicker stuff hurts my hand pulling that rope. Ive tried using cheaper domestic lopers and they usually aren't up to much. Ive just got myself the Stihl HT131 so got all the angles covered now.

    Cheers. It's the Wolf I've been looking at. Had both the fiskars and gardenas, but both have broke within months of buying them.

  I'm very pleased with mine Damian, the saw is very sharp and the loper is very effective although as i say I often try to use the loper on stuff thats probably a bit too thick. I've found that Wolf also makes a gadget that bottom end of the pole and it keeps the excess rope wound up and out of the way, a bit like a retracting clothes line. That would make it easier to use.

      I've got the bahco telescopic loppers they are very good but expensive.

          I've got the big 5.8M pole.
          It's good if awkward to transport.

      Yes it looks like it is. The handle of the saw comes off then can be clipped into the pole, The loper head can be adjusted which is a nice touch.

  The only draw back with using the saw for cutting thicker branches is that its very difficult or impossible to undercut the branch first, The only answer being to take the branch down in sections. Which is time consuming.
