I've been asked to id this tree tonight , while doing a job . I'm at a total loss as I've never seen this tree before and the customer can't I'd it either .
Not sure -- looks slightly 'Ginko' like -- there isnt a clmiber growing up it as well ? Thought some of the leaves looked different or are they old flowering stems ? Any other info -- as in autumn leaf colour of flowers?
Possibly a Tulip tree.
99% sure this is Robinia pseudoacacia 'Lacy Lady' (or often 'Twisty Baby'). It is a member of the locust tree family.
It leaves grow in a curled up shape which in any other plant would look like it is sick, but this is it's natural growth.
good call simon -- looks very much like it !
Thank you ! I’ll pass this on to the customer
