Transit crewcab tippers

Does anyone use a transit crewcab for garden maintenance? The reason I ask is I feel that a crewcab tipper might be of more benefit to me now, but wonder will my 21" hrx fit through the rear doors to keep it locked away, rather than left on the back.Any advice / help appreciatedThanks

  • I was looking into this the other day, and had a look, i think a 19 inch hayter would fit, but not a 21 inch. The door opening do look wider on the second doors. (on a transit)

I was looking at a VW crafter with a tool area and an open back.

  • We have recently bought one, great truck, planning on taking the rear seats out and rack out we can just fit a hayter 41 through door and onto rear seat, we have the t350 135 so is great loaded and for materials and waste removal but drinks diesel so for us not viable for the maintenance round and is only used for larger jobs and we stick to the primastar for day to day work

  • Thanks for those replies that's the kind of thing I wanted to hear, has anyone else any plus's or negatives about getting machinery into the back part of the cab on one of these?
  • I use one for maintenance, in the last 6 months ive owned it ive used the tipper 3 times. Wish i bought a normal van now... Excellnent for landscaping jobs though.
