I had a mesh trailer some years ago and ended up fitting thin plywood inside the mesh as I got fed up of branches, brambles etc snagging in the mesh making it difficult to empty.
Still chuckle occasionally when I see people at the green waste centre with mesh sided tipper trailers that won't empty as everything has jammed in the mesh.
From memory the mesh was about 2 or 3 mm thick and in about 2" or 3" squares (I didn't make it, it came with the trailer and this was some time ago).
Hope this helps in some way.
That's a good point. I was thinking mesh for weight and wind resistance...don't much fancy picking away at it every time I go to empty it!
I have a mesh sided trailer(Paxton 7x5) & have ply lined the mesh, but I'm currently thinking of hinging the ply so it can drop down out the way when I don't need, my theory is to make it more aerodynamic, to get better fuel consumption.
