I have a set of tweezers for removing sheep-ticks.
I get bitten about once a month in Summer due to the large numbers of sheep near me and in my area.
More often If i go mountain biking.
Other than that - Long sleeved shirts whenever possible or in areas which may have ticks.
Have you tried Frontline for your dog, he must be in a bit of a state if picking up that many ticks.
Have never heard of equivelent product for humans just wear long trousers and socks when think there is a risk.
Yes I agree the Mercuracrome sounds like one I will miss but I like the sound of the Neem oil. I just looked at the Frontline packet and is says it contains Fipronil, an insecticide/acaricide. It has a long list of warnings unfortunately.
