The end of the greenfly ?

A small article in the paper caught my eye the other day. It read ' Breakthrough in the battle with Greenfly'.Every gardener will now be jumping with joy that scientists have discovered the DNA of greenfly and established that it has a weak immune system, due to a missing gene. They will now try to develop an insecticide that will kill the greenfly but leave friendly insects like bees unharmed as their immune systems are not the same.I wonder if that will not be good news to the ladybird though who may have to find another source of 5 a day?
