Sub contracting profit

Was trying to work out a good guideline on what you make from sub contracting jobs ie if you charge out a job at £150 and pay £120 is it worth it how much profit do you make I was thinking you should take a third of the difference ie £30 you make £20 profit dies this sound about right I understand there is extra admin costs but it allows you to take on larger jobs and keeps the customer happy any views and pitfalls would be helpfull

    Thinking of subcontracing myself. Any advise welcome.
    Also, what about tie ups with related trades ie tree surgeons, landscapers(I'm a mower chaser myself) designers etc.

    Have 5 sub contractors helps with workload .
    Great idea to have links with tree surgeons garden designers and turf treatment companies we have gained some big work from designers helping on planting and then taking on the maintenance after design has finished .
    We also get a lot if referall work from the other 2 avenues tree surgeons etc if you give them some work your the first in the list when they are asked good luck
